The Omo river region is a region located in Southwestern Ethiopia and home to different tribes. The tribes that live in the lower Omo Valley are believed to be among
the most fascinating on the African continent. It is often you come into contact with tribes like Turkana, Ari, Tsemay, Konso and Bena among others when you tour the valley.
The warriors often move with riffles slung on their backs (Kalashnikovs). This can be a bit disconcerting but the tribes are friendly and this is generally the only modern accessory you will see them wear.
